As well as digitising out-of-copyright material, we have an active programme of digitising material from the 20th century. Talk to us about how we could help get your historic publications online.

How we work with publishers

We are constantly looking for interesting publications from 18th to the 20th century to digitise and already work with a number of publishers to digitise their content and expose it to a worldwide audience. In return for the rights to digitise and market your historic publications, we can offer publishers a number of benefits. These include:

  1. Digitisation of your archive - at our expense, and usually without requiring physical access to your own in-house archive
  2. Monthly royalties based on the usage of your publication by our customers
  3. A programme of joint marketing with generous revenue shares for any new customers you can introduce to us
  4. Marketing & distribution of your archive to a worldwide audience of historians and genealogists

We can work with a variety of formats

Whether your archive is still on paper, on microfilm or already digital-ready, we can work with you to explore ways to bring it to life online - and earn you revenue.

We have a broad distribution network

As well as your material being made available to consumers through this website, our newspapers are also available on our sister websites, findmypast and GenesReunited. These add a large audience of family historians from around the globe with a huge appetite for historical British newspapers. We also distribute your content to the b2b market, both via our built-for-libraries Community Edition platform and by our ongoing content distribution deals.
